Ok, I am a dork...who uses trefoil in the title of a blogpost. Basically, I haven't blogged for all of the holidays and so I am going to take this opportunity to share about all of them.
Thanksgiving...
Thanksgiving was really wonderful. If you have never surprised your parents and family, you really should. Both sets of my grandparents were together, which doesn't happen very often. I got to eat all the food that is familiar to me, and help in the kitchen, and play games with all most of the people that I love. Afterwards my Grandma Hoeflinger sat down to the piano and we all sang hymns together. I am pretty sure she has the entire hymnal memorized, it is really quite amazing. We also told what we were thankful for. I like traditions like those. Here are some pictures!

Christmas...
It was nice to spend time with family and just relax around the house. I went to the beach, went shooting with my dad, shopping with my mom (which I really miss), had a father-daughter date with my dad (which I also miss), received wonderful presents, baked (of course), played games, and more that I am sure is slipping my mind right now.

Christmas Kitty! I couldn't resist putting a bow around his neck...poor cat. |

Cookie Dough! |
 |
I have a set of vintage cookie cutters...exactly like the ones that my Grandma used...and this is by far my most favorite shape. I think they are so pretty. A perfect poinsettia! |

This is a church...which we always frost white and decorate with blue sprinkles and yellow windows. |

I really love the pearly white sprinkles. |

New Year's...
We had a low key New Year's. We just kind of bummed around and drank sparkling grape juice. Nothing too exciting. In fact...I don't even have pictures.
Justin and Renee's Wedding...
I realize this isn't a holiday, but it was one of the highlights of my trip home. It was so exciting to see one of my best friends get married. It was also nice to see some of my friends from college and tie up some loose ends in my personal life. Plus, I caught the bouquet! It fell right into my hands and was a nice surprise :)
